F.A.Q.s

Muay Thai is a centuries old, battle proven martial art from Thailand. Muay Thai is often called the art of 8 limbs, because we strike with hands (punches), legs (kicks), knees, and elbows. There is some stand up grappling (clinching), but Muay Thai is entirely a stand up striking art.

Waterloo Muay Thai is open to everyone (14+) regardless of fitness or Muay Thai level.

Not at all, at Waterloo Muay Thai our goal is to build you up, by increasing your fitness level. Whatever level you are starting at we aim to improve it, while teaching proper excercise form and challenging you to push yourself.

Expect a tough work out, a thorough explaination of proper technique (both excercise and Muay Thai) and a fun time venting your fustrations on pads and heavy bags! At Waterloo Muay Thai, our primary focus is on safe and proper training of Muay Thai with a detailed curriculum which will teach you all of the fundamentals of Muay Thai. Check out the schedule page to see the descriptions of each class and what they cover.
